To formulate appropriate fiscal and budgetary policies from time to time for the Eastern Provincial Council.
To ensure optimum utilization of financial resources of the Province in a manner so as to attain sustainable development of the Eastern Province.
To ensure an efficient, effective and economic financial management through appropriate measurers.
To mobilize funds for the Provincial Council from all possible sources
