Providing effective valuable Services and facilities to the members of Eastern Provincial Council in order to make suitable atmosphere to do genuine and efficient services to the public.

Key Functions:

In Accordance with the powers vested to provincial council in terms of 13th Amendment act of provincial council enactments No. 42 of the Constitution of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

| 1. |
Arrangement of Provincial Council meetings in a regular Criteria.
|
|
| 2. |
Preparing the agenda of the council meeting embodying motions and questions.
|
|
| 3. |
To publish the official reports of the Provincial Council sessions well in time
|
|
| 4. |
To safeguard the privileges and rights of the members of Eastern Provincial Council.
|
|
| 5. |
Making welfare arrangements to the members of the Provincial Council
|
|
| 6. |
Preparing Statutes embodying the policies and statutory functions of Eastern Provincial Council
|
|
| 7. |
Maintaining good relationship with Central Government
|
|
| 8. |
To hold the committee meetings and to submit the decisions to the Council.
|
|
| 9. |
Induction Training to the members of the Provincial Council and the office staff.
|
|
| 10. |
Carrying out the Administration and Establishment work for proper and smooth functioning of Eastern Provincial Council
