Agri-Biz Exhibition organized by the National Agribusiness Council with the assistance of Ministry of Agriculture Eastern Province and USAID was inaugurated and opened by the Hon. Governor, Eastern Province Rear Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama on 16th July 2010 at the Hindu Cultural Hall in Trincomalee.

Minister of Agriculture Eastern Province Hon. Thuraiyappa Nawarathnaraja, Mr. A. Gopallawa, Chairman National Agribusiness Council, Mission Director of USAID, Sri Lanka, Ms. R. Cohn, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, EPC, officials from National Agribusiness Council, Ministry of Agriculture, EPC, USAID and a large number of personnel from the farmer community were present.

There were more than 35 stalls which exhibit the latest Agriculture equipment and tools, machinery, drugs and fertilizes, etc. This is the first Agri-Biz exhibition to be held in Eastern Province after 30 years.
