The Kaiwaikkal-Kakkamunai-Munaichenai Road work was ceremonially inaugurated by Hon. M.S. Udumalebbe, Minister of Road Development and Irrigation on 20.07.2010 in Kinniya DS Division in the Trincomalee District.

The total estimated cost for this road is 86 million rupees and the length is 1.9 km. The project is funded by Asian Development Bank and implemented by the Department of Road Development under the Ministry of Road Development and Irrigation. Hon. W.G.M. Ariyawathy Kalappathy, Hon. N.G.Hewawitharana members of the Eastern Provincial Council, Hon. M. Umarlebbai , member of Kinniya Pradeshiya Sabha and Divisional Secretary –Kinniya were also participated on this occasion.
