“Janatha Sathkaraka Sewaya” in Trincomalee

The “Janatha Sathkaraka Sewaya” of the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs was held in Trincomalee on 19^th and 20^th January 2008 and Hon. Governor-Eastern Province, Chief Secretary, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Secretaries and Heads of Departments of Provincial Ministries and Departments participated in the event.

Hon. Governor in his Speech, in addition to complimenting Central Government and Provincial Council Officers, who have made this event success, also touched on improved security environment and other sustainable livelihood activities, which had been introduced after decades of neglects. He also mentioned that approximately 600 personnel have been inducted as public officers to the Eastern Provincial Council as Public officers during the 180 Days Programme.
