In Pottuvil,
Amparai, Under
the “Livelihood Development “, Training and assistance in income generation
activities for 18 members, House electrical wiring training, micro finance
activities are progressing. 9 groups consisting 107 members have been formed.
Under “Strengthening of Community
Organization”, Construction of Multi Purpose Building was completed. Putting up
of common water taps (Rottai 5) and (Hijra Nagar 3) were in progress.
Under “Social Inclusion”, 40 families have
been provided with Compost Bin.
Planned amount was Rs: 8,983,173/= and the Cumulative expenditure was Rs: 7,986,199/=. 89 % financial progress has been achieved as at end of February 2008.
In Kuchchaveli, Trincomalee, Under “Livelihood Development” Provision
of assistance for Food Processing (6
women), Plumbing Training Course (10 youth) and Micro finance activities are in
progress. Community banks (Iqbal Nagar 14 groups, Thamaraikulam 5 groups - a
total of 204 members) were functioning. Women’s Bank Head Office conducted
audit.
Under “Strengthening of Community
Organization”, Construction of Multi Purpose Building was completed.
Construction of parapet wall around Pre-school and Multi Purpose Building in
Iqbal nagar1 was completed. Construction of pre-school building, Iqbal Nagar
has been completed up to DPC level.
Under “Social Inclusion”, Pre-school meal (6
pre-school-139 children) provided. Cricket match was conducted and Children’s Rights
were painted on pre-school wall..
Planned
amount was Rs: 8,963,429/= and the Cumulative expenditure was Rs: 7,549,498/=. 84 % financial progress has been achieved as at end of February
2008.
