Objectives

1. Improving the livelihood of the poor.
2. To assist the Persons with Disability (PWDs) with physically and mentally affected personnel.

Key Functions:

| 1. |
Payment of Public Assistance Monthly Allowance (PAMA)
|
|
| 2. |
Supporting families living under the poverty line with self- employment grant to a maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 per family
|
|
| 3. |
Providing Assistive Devices to the Persons with Disability (PWD) and Children with Disability (CWD)
|
|
| 4. |
Assisting people suffering from contagious diseases such as T.B., leprosy, cancer and thalasimiya
|
|
| 5. |
Provision of Maintenance Grant and Ad-hoc Grants for Elder’s Homes and Home for Persons with Disability which run by NGOs and/or Volunteer Service Organizations.

| 6. |
Compensating families living under poverty line whose properties and belongings damaged by accidents or natural disasters such as fire, cyclone, wild elephants attack etc. with a maximum amount of Rs.20,000/.

| 7. |
Providing training programme for vulnerable community members to make them strong and strengthen.
