A beach cleaning programme organized by the Chief Ministry Staff was held on 4th of June 2022 at Trincomalee to mark the National Environment Day which falls on 4th of June in each year. Cleaning work at the Beach Area and Casuarina Park (Crow Island) located in front of Chief Ministry premises was undertaken by the staff as per the directives of Hon. Governor of Eastern Province.

A shramadahana campaign was conducted in the premises of the Chief Ministry on. 18.02.2022 with the presiding of Mrs. Kalamathy Pathmarajah , Secretary of the Chief Ministry under national programme for eradicating dengue on the instruction of Hon. Governor, Anurhadha Yahampath. Director Planning, Administrative Officer and all staff of the chief ministry participated in this programme.
