Second cheque awarding ceremony to Ampara District beneficiaries was held on 09.05.2010 at Urban Council, Ampara under the chairmanship of Hon.Governor of Eastern Province to mark the His Excellency President Maithiripala Srisena visit to Ampara District. At this function cheques were handed over to the selected beneficiaries to construct Houses and Toilets. Around 110 beneficiaries representing from three ethnic groups were received cheques amounts to Rs.1.7 million. At this event Hon.Governor of Eastern Province, Secretary, Chief Ministry, Chairman and General Manager of Eastern Province Housing Authority and several other officials were presented.

A cheque issuing function was held under the chairmanship of Hon.Governor of Eastern Province on 24.03.2019 at Eravur Divisional Secretariat. Around 60 beneficiaries from Batticaloa District were received cheque for construction of Toilets and houses. At this event Secretary of the Chief Ministry-EP, Chairman and General Manager of Housing Authority were also participated.
