The Covid 19 infection awareness & Issue immune booster (Suwadarani) to school Childrens, event was held on 29.10.2021 under the chairmanship of Sarath Senasinghe, Principal, Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya, Trincomalee. The event was attended by Mr. Chinthaka vijayawardena, (Media Secretary to the Governor of the Eastern Province) & Dr. R. Sridhar (The Commissioner of the Department of Indigenous Medicine, Eastern Province), Dr. S. Sivachelvan (SCMO), Dr.S. Sathees (MO/PL) and the teachers and parents of the school.

The meeting at Ministry of Health was held on 5th of May 2021 and the decision was taken to convert Base Ayurvedic Hospital, Kappalthurai to COVID treatment center. All infrastructure and garbage removal are completed according to the COVID-19 rules in SriLanka.
