An another Engineering Material Testing Laboratory unit was opened on 28.10.2020 at Batticaloa by Eastern Province Housing Authority (EPHA) in collaboration with Department of Buildings according to the MOU signed between EPHA and Department of Buildings.

This is an another remarkable achievement in EPHA’s history and a long felt want too. This unit will carry out all tests to ensure the quality of all building materials at a reasonable cost. All revenue from this venture will be utilized for EPHA’s future development activities and to incur other expenditures.

At this event Hon. Governor, Anuradha Yahampath participated as Chief Guest and opened the unit. Also Chairman and General Manager of EPHA, Private Secretary to Governor, Chairman from Transport Authority,Chief and Executive Engineers of Department of Buildings were also participated.
