The 2^nd Provincial Planning Committee Meeting of EPC for the year 2018 was held on 02^nd August 2018 at 9.00 a.m. at the EPC Conference Hall, Varothayanagar, Trincomalee under chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, EPC with the participation of the Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments & relevant senior officers of EPC, representatives from three District Secretariats and senior officials from Central Bank as well.

Governor of the Eastern Province Hon. Rohitha Bogollagama attended the 91st anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army of China at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. The Ambassador of China HE Mr. Chang Xueyuan received Hon. Governor at the function. Dr. Dilshani Bogollagama, daughter of Hon. Governor also attended the ceremony.

The Grand opening of computer lab and launching of online training management system has been held today (04.07.2018) at Management Development Training Unit, Trincomalee. Hon. Rohitha Bogollagama, Governor of the Eastern Province has graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The new Computer Lab can accommodate 50 participants at a time. 

The online training management system is aimed to introduce paperless office concept with a purpose of communicating with all the eastern provincial council institutions in a more convenient way.

This programme was organized by Deputy Chief Secretary Personnel & Training and Management Development Training Unit. Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Officials from various Departments took part in this event. An introductory session has been also arranged to the Institution Coordinators followed by the ceremony.

கிழக்கு மாகாண கௌரவ ஆளுநர் ரோஹித போகொல்லாகம அவர்களின் தலைமையில் ஆளுநரின் வாசஸ்தலத்தில் இப்தார் நிகழ்வு கடந்த 08.06.2018 அன்று ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்நிகழ்வில் முஸ்லிம் மதத்தலைவர்கள், எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் கௌரவ இரா. சம்பந்தன், கௌரவ அமைச்சர்கள், பிரதி அமைச்சர்கள், பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், முன்னாள் கிழக்கு மாகாண முதலமைச்சர், முன்னாள் மாகாண சபை உறுப்பினர்கள், கிழக்கு மாகாண படைத்தளபதிகள், பிரதிப் பொலிஸ் மா அதிபர், கிழக்கு மாகாண திணைக்களத் தலைவர்கள் உட்பட பெருந்தொகையான கிழக்கு மாகாண உத்தியோகத்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
