The sectoral progress review meeting of the Chief Ministry was held on 13.03.2023 at the Chief Ministry's conference hall. The meeting was presided over by Mr. I.K.A.G. Mutthubanda, Secretary of the Chief Ministry, Eastern Province. Heads of the department and statutory bodies that come under the purview of the ministry participated in the meeting and presented the progress of their sectors and the development activities of their institutions.

A Ministry level discussion on Annual Implementation Programme (AIP) 2023 was held under chairmanship of Mr.R.M.P.S.Rathnayake, Chief Secretary of Eastern Province on 26.01.2023 at Chief Ministry Conference Hall. The purpose of discussion was to review the AIP 2023 which was prepared by Departments and statutory boards comes under purview for obtaining the concurrence of the Finance commission to implement the activities proposed in the AIPs. At this discussion various aspects including summary of 2022 progress, development challenges, allocation for 2023, proportion of allocation among districts, main KPIs target, continuation works and details of new activities were taken in to consideration.
