On the request of the Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, State Minister of Handloom and batiks, the trade fair was arranged on 12^th & 13^th of January 2022 at santhankerni playground, Kalmunai in Ampara to provide the market opportunities for the handloom and batiks entrepreneurs in Eastern Province. Nearly 50 stalls had been established and all stalls were occupied.

Hon Governor, Eastern Province inaugurated the trade fair and secretary ministry of Handloom and batiks, Colombo Additional Secretary of Handloom ministry, Director Textile Colombo, Provincial Secretaries, DCSs & HODs of Eastern Provincial Council also participated at the event.
