Opening Ceremony of first carpentry showroom under the purview of Department of Rural Industries, EPC was held on 17-02-2022 in Trincomalee.

Hon. Anuradha Yahampath, The Governor of Eastern Province graced this occasion as a Chief Guest and officially opened the showroom at Uppuveli Junction, Trincomalee with the participation of the Chief Secretary – EPC, Provincial Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, and HODs.

The trained Handloom weavers from Pallikkudiyiruppu village in Mutur Division have made a field visit to industrial premises in Trincomalee for the observation of Handloom related activities such as yarn dyeing, cloth store activities, warp preparation, weaving process and sale center arrangements on 10.02.2022 jointly with the central bank officials.
