Hon.Anuradha Yahampath, The Governor of Eastern Province has officially launched the Citizen Budget of the Eastern Provincial Council for the year 2021 on 15.12.2021 at the JKAB Park Resort, Trincomalee. This publication is the second Citizens Budget of the EPC which has been technically supported by the UNICEF with the financial assistance from European Union in Sri Lanka.

This event has been ceremonially commenced with the welcome address by Mr. D.M.L.Bandaranayake, Chief Secretary of EPC, followed by few brief presentations on key areas of the Citizens Budget 2021 by Ms. Ms. Louise Moreira Daniels, Chief of Social Policy of UNICEF and Mr. Munazir, Deputy Director-Planning,EPC . Next, Hon. Governor has formally launched the document of Citizen Budget -2021 of EPC with the participation of Mr. Christian Skoog, Unicef Representative in Sri Lanka, the Chief Secretary and Deputy Chief Secretary-Planning, EPC. The E-launch of the citizens budget in the EPC website also has launched by Chief Secretary at the ceremonial function.

The Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Provincial Ministries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Heads of the Departments, senior official, Directors of Planning and Chief Accountants of the EPC and Officials from UNICEF including Ms. Louise Moreira Daniels, Chief of Social Policy, Ms. Refinceyya Fatterson, Mr. Navaratnam Lazarus Andrew and Media Personnel also attended this remarkable event.
