To enhance the safety and security of children in residential care, Department of Probation & Child care services, joint coordination with UNICEF, established hand wash facilities in children homes and state running homes. Under the UNICEF financial support, CERI NGO provided 32 numbers of hand washing sinks to Children homes, and state homes.

This event was held on 15.02.2021 at Batticalloa Safe house and respective judicial divisions. Mr. N. Andrew Lazarus, Child Protection – Consultant, UNICEF Batticaloa, Mr. V. Dharshan, National Program Director CERI, Mr. MHM. Natmudee, SPO, Batticalloa Region, respective POICs, Children Home Managers, and State home In-charges participated on this event. Children Homes and state homes which are coming under Batticalloa, Eravur and Valaichenai Judicial divisions were Provided this sink facilities at this event.
