To enhance the safety and security of children in residential care, Department of Probation & Child care services, joint coordination with UNICEF, established hand wash facilities in children homes and state running homes. Under UNICEF financial support, CERI NGO provided 15 numbers of hand washing sinks to Children homes, and state homes.

This event was held on 12.02.2021 at Kalmunai Probation Office. Mr. A.H.M. Ansar, Secretary, Ministry of Health, EP, Provincial Commissioner Mrs. Risvani Rifas, Department staff, Children Home Managers, State home In-charges, and representatives from CERI also participated in this event. Children Homes and state homes coming under Kalmunai Judicial divisions and Amapara Judicial Divisions were Provided this sink facilities at this event.
